Maestro

In Cub Scouts, we are at an age where the boys need to help lead meetings.  So my son picked the Maestro Achievement.  We went to see the local orchestra perform.  He also help me put together packages for each boy to pick out and assemble an instrument.  Then they all got to play some songs together with there new instruments.  A lot of work but a lot of fun!!!

Little Things

My aunt and uncle drove 2,000 miles to come visit us.  My grandmother loves to give us random little things and because they drove they could bring us all kinda of things from back home. I love it!  I miss it!  It's not the stuff, at all, its the fact is she sees things in her home or in public and pick it up and offers it to us.  I have so many memories of this. This photo is the joy of my daughter experiencing some of these little things that she hasn't gotten since we left California, at that time, 4 years ago.

Root Beer

We went out to dinner and I let my kiddos have an old fashion root beer in glass bottles.  Mind blowing experience!!  They loved it so much we brought the bottle home, washed them out and they are keeping them on shelves in their rooms.

A Haunting We Will Go

This didn't turn out exactly how I wished but I'm glad I got it done. I thought the papers went together well with the embellishments but now that it's done I don't think they match as good as I had thought. Oh well!  It was our first Halloween in our new neighborhood. I'm looking forward to a few more before they get to old to trick-or-treat.

Hiking - Cub Scouts

We love scouting.  They have so much fun and learn a lot.  My daughter is a girl scout and my son a cub scout. We went on a hike with cub scouts.  The boys did a geocach too.  First time we have done that but it won't be our last it made the hike even funner.

I used this awesome sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap I'm really excited how much I loved my finished product.

Be Bold, Be Brave, Be You

My Aunt (lives 2,000 miles away) is a hairdresser.  She was coming for a visit and my daughter (11) asked if she could dye her hair pink.  My aunt of course said yes so I gave in and allowed it.  Day of there was dye leftover and they convinced me to do the back of my hair, CRAZY!!  We also went and got medi/pedi's. Such fun girl time!!

Happy Day - Pumpkins

Loved our pumpkin carving this past October.  The kids are getting big enough to carve with only a little help. I love making all of these messy memories.

SHMS - Student of the Month - Shine

My daughter made 6th Grade Student of the Month.  She gots her picture hung up right when you walk in the doors for the whole month and lunch with the principle.  I was so excited to be able to take a picture of her with the picture of her.  Some teachers walked by and looked at us for a minute and then realized what I was doing and talked to each other about what a proud moment it was for us.  LOL, I little happy eavesdropping on my part.

Old Stone Fort

We had a great adventure at a little campground here in Tennessee called Old Stone Fort.  We are used to camping with a group but this time it was just the four of us.  We hiked, took bike rides, played games and hung out by the camp fire.  All and all another great camping weekend in the books.

First Lost Tooth

My daughter is now 11 was completely grossed out when I explained to her that it was a photo her first lost tooth, LOL. I love capturing these moments.  I did a little journaling on this page to make note of the moment.  The long a scrap the more journaling I like to do.  Helps remind me of all the little details from that period of time.

Scrap Lift Yourself

I don't think I've ever scrap lifted myself but I did today for this challenge at Scrapbook.com.  I think I still like my original better.

Jack Daniels

We now live in Tennessee but in 2013 we were only here on vacation.  This is a tour we took of the Jack Daniels Factory.  This is my first double layout in 4 1/2 years.  Thanks to a great sketch I got from Scrapbook.com.

Wishing You Many Lovely Tomorrows

I just could not get a good photo of this one.  Either my camera would make it looked washed out or super dark.  I hate when that happens.  Anyone else ever have that issue?

Another fantastic sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Hello

I struggled with this sketch for days trying lots of different paper and embellishments.  Then last night I walked into my scrap room and poof it came today so easily.  It's amazing how that happens sometimes.

Making Snowmen

It's winter here in Tennessee but we are having some really nice warm weather this year.  Not that I'm complaining.  As a California girl, born and raised, I will take the warm weather while it's here. This card reminds me even with this great weather it is still winter.  I used a great sketch from
