pick a color or six

Hooray for DT goodies thanks to the fabulous Fia from Sketches 4 All.  Everything on this layout was given to me besides photos, letters and the twine for my buttons.  And, again thanks to Fia I got the idea for my June Challenge...go check it out Sketches 4 All.

Now about this layout, it's from dying Easter eggs this year.  My son who recently turned two kept trying to drink the egg water.  It was a difficult task, to say the least, to help both of them dye eggs with 6 large cups of hot food colored water.  But, fun non the less.

I used the sketch from Sketch Inspiration.  One of my all time favorite sketch sites.

Working On My List Again

Adding more:
27. Go to a professional sporting event.
28. Take my kids to the tide pools.
29. Watch my wedding video.
30. Get a record player.
31.

In progress:
20. Take pictures of items when completing them, if possible. (2/101)
I won't be able to take pictures of every item because some you just can't photograph.  Plus, I lost my camera and can't find it anywhere.  Hence my #26.

7. Take 10 hikes at various locations. (2/10)
Over the weekend I was able to check off another hike from my list.  My big sis, her hubby, my uncle-in-law and my little family of 4 went to Tenaja Falls.  We hiked up a trail to have lunch and sit by the waterfall and pools.  A very nice Sunday afternoon.

Selling like Hotcakes

Well, not really like hotcakes but I like the saying.  I have recently sold a few more items from My Scrappy Corner Store.  I'm very excited and have started working on some new albums to replace the ones that I have sold.  Just to let you all know that I also make custom scrapbooks and cards if what I have premade doesn't fit your style.  Thanks everyone!

More of my list...

Adding more to my list.

22. Re-pierce to second holes in my ears.
23. Make a pickle.
24. Go horseback riding.
25. Try 100 new recipes. (0/100)
26. Buy a new camera.
27.

Started but not complete, yet:
1. Finish creating my 101 in 1001 list. (26/101)
I'm 1/4 done with my list.  Finding 101 things was harder than I thought.  I don't want to get to crazy because I wanted to make sure that I can and will do all of the things on my list.
12. Visit 100 random blogs and leave comment(s). (9/100)
Completed 9, 91 to go.
25. Try 100 new recipes. (1/100)
My first new recipe was Crumb Cake and it was delish!  I made it for company and they even asked to seconds.  Yummy!
7. Take 10 hikes at various locations. (1/10)
We went to the Santa Rosa Plateau.  It's only about 15 - 20 minutes from our home and perfect for the kids.  My kids are still little so they can't really hike up big hills.  This place was more trails, streams and bushes.

My 101 in 1001

My newest project isn't really scrappy related but I couldn't think of another place that I could put this so here I am.  I have seen this on other blogs but until today I really didn't have much of an interest, it's 101 in 1001.  Honestly over the past 2 years I have been battling some personal problems.  It's not something I like to talk about and if you ask everyone I personally know all of them would have no idea.  It's hard for me to open up to people and I'm actually shocked that I'm writing this.  When I first started having these problems I created a small list in my head of things that I wanted to accomplish in my lifetime.  Learn to knit, bake a pie from scratch, make my own laundry detergent, sew a baby bib, etc...which I have accomplish all of those on my list.  Focusing on these items have helped me.  I still do not feel 100% myself so I'm hoping that completing this newest list I'll find myself again.  Wish me luck!

Here are the details: 101 in 1001 days
I started this challenge on May 4, 2011 and I have until January 29, 2014 to finish.

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days. Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part). Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

Here is my list so far...
